all their kind words and deeds, we truly lost a wonderful man who fought

Hi,

I started Jujitsu at the Boylan Centre 6 weeks ago and absolutely love it! 6 of us started at the same time and we've all encouraged each other through the early stages of wrist-locks, break-falls, punches, kicks and throws! The trainers here Shane, Alan, Ed, Gerry and Ken are really great. They spend a lot of time doing demos followed by one-to-one training, breaking down each action until everyone gets it right. There's a good buzz in the class and I'm now looking forward to the next 6 weeks! If there are any other beginners/potential ninjas out there I'd definitely recommend giving it a go.

Gombatte Kudasai!

it was with sorrow that i heard of the death of  mr ken penland. i had the honour to be used as a body by him in maynooth some time ago, apart from being an excellent teacher he was also possessed of a fine dark sense of humour which  i enjoyed a lot. it was an honour and a privilage to meet and train and laugh with the man and he will be greatly missed by myself and all his other friends in jiu jitsu ireland.

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of one of the true greats of the martial arts world Mr. Ken Penland was an inspirational man with many fine qualities .He will be missed by all those who were lucky enough to train under him and be in his company. Rest in peace.

Hi Ken; I like the way you've done your site.(I've got to find a way to get in one of your Pic's). Just spent the weekend with Ken Penland. He said to say hello to all his friends in Eire.

Johnnie and your system are now recognised by two additional org's(one word wide) thru Ken P's persistance. Hope to see you in Dec. 06.....Don Dike
