First started. Began studying Jiu-jitsu in June 1989.After training twice a week in dojos in swords and Julianstown and attending various seminars and intensive training courses Geoff achieved his 1st Dan black belt in August 1993.He has represented Jiu-Jitsu Ireland at national level having taken part in demonstration teams in the National Basketball Arena, the Curragh Army camp and many outdoor festivals around the country. At international level Geoff has been a member of coaching/demonstration delegations which have travelled to Germany, Italy, Poland and America.
In October 1994 he helped start up and run “Glasthule” dojo with senior instructor Ken Byrne where he coached students until the summer of 2005 when they opened the “Dúnlaoghaire” dojo. Currently living in north county Dublin Geoff is involved with the Donnabate and Julianstown dojos and visits the Dúnlaoghaire dojo when possible.

life.

(iii) Representing Ireland overseas.
Best martial arts achievement. Attaining 5th Dan master grade in Jan. 2006.
Other sporting achievements. Played handball for Dublin.
Played rugby for Trinity College.
Hobbies & interests. Deer hunting, Fishing, swimming, ornithology, skiing, music, reading, theatre.
Academic Qualifications. Honours degree in Geography & Sociology T.C.D.
